An intimate waterside wedding - Fern & David
Fern and David, childhood sweethearts, getting married was always written in the stars for this couple, and following in the footsteps of Ferns’ mum, Linda they decided on a Greek destination wedding, choosing Ithaca.
Their intimate wedding, where close family and friends were invited took place on a hot August day, appreciating that their guests only reason for visiting Ithaca was for their wedding, their priority was to give them the best experience.

Welcome letters awaited their guests at their chosen accommodation, introducing them to the delights of Ithaca, things to do, places to visit along with useful information.
The wedding stationery setting the tone for the celebrations, the invitation, thank you note, order of the day, place cards, menus, welcome signs all reflecting the soft pale pinks, creamy whites and delicate pampas grasses of the florals.

Bridal prep took place in a beautiful villa overlooking Vathy bay, a stunning backdrop for Fern, her bridesmaids, nearest and dearest to enjoy wedding day pampering.
Hair and make up for the bride and bridesmaids applied, sipping champagne and relaxing around the pool before it was time to change into their dresses.
Fern’s bridal gown, a beautifully fitted off the shoulder dress with a fishtail train finish, dropped lace shoulder straps emphasizing the bodice. Minimal jewellery including diamond stud earrings along with her engagement ring was all the jewellery required, block healed shoes, a bridal handbag along with a spray of her chosen wedding day scent completed the bridal look.

Ferns’ long blonde hair was styled in a low bun leaving tredrils at the front framing her face, natural make up enhancing her eyes and pale pink lipstick.

The two bridesmaids wore long beautiful silk pale olive green dresses, with their hair styled and natural make up, elegantly chic and showcasing their bridesmaids bouquets to perfection.

Bouquets and buttonholes were a beautifully romantic combination of pale pinks, soft white and creams with delicate pampas tied off with white ribbon.

Groom prep, taking place in a nearby villa, saw David and his best man enjoying some down time whilst getting ready. Both wore stone coloured three piece suits, white shirts, ties to match along with brown brogue shoes.
David adding cufflinks a silver wristwatch, jacket pin and finishing off with a spray of his chosen cologne.

Guests were transported to the ceremony by coach, whilst the bride made her entrance by speed boat. On arrival the bridal processional began first with Fern’s step-father, David before she completed her entrance with her grandfather.
The ceremony took place by the waterside with fishing boats gently moving in the breeze, a two column ceremony arch would be where Fern and David stood to exchange their vows and rings. Seating provided for all the guests with their names on allocated seats, fans to help keep them cool in the early evening heat and small envelopes of confetti. Two floral arrangements at the start of the aisle and large bronze lanterns were included in the ceremony décor.

The ceremony complete, happy tears shed and confetti thrown the guests were all treated to waterside Prosecco and canapes before departing with a traditional ciaique to the reception venue.

The reception was held at a waterside restaurant in Vathy, guests welcomed with Prosecco, taking time to find seats, each place setting with a guest name tag, menu and small jar or local Ithacan honey. Table décor was kept to a minimum with floral garlands centered on each table.

With all the guests seated, Fern and David made their entrance to cheers and clapping. Dinner was served, speeches made before it was time to cut the cake and get the party started with the traditional fist dance.
