Intimate Wedding on Deserted Ammoundi Beach, Ithaca – Lisa & Stuart
Lisa & Stuarts’s intimate wedding took place on the stunning deserted beach of Ammoundi, Ithaca, a beach little known and accessible only by boat. Ithaca was where Stuart romantically proposed to Lisa whilst exploring the coastline in a small motor boat, so choosing Ithaca with its’ many un-spoilt and remote beaches proved to be the perfect location to recapture that romantic day
Stuart also kept his attire simple wearing stone coloured trousers, open necked white shirt with brown accessories. His sons reflecting his smart casual look with white shirts and neutral coloured shorts.
As Ammoundi beach, is only accessible by boat, Lisa and Stuart choose to make their entrances in style, arriving to the beach on board a small traditional Ciaique – the Ag. Kyriaki.
The ceremony on the beach was conducted under an arch, white voile fluttering in the breeze with two floral arrangements to match Lisa’s bouquet. Their guests relaxed in a semi-circle of pale pink and stone coloured cushions with views looking out over the turquoise sea. A basket of confetti cones filled with olive leaves to throw and fans to stay cool close to hand.
Boarding back onto the Agia Kyriaki, chilled Prosecco and a light picnic were enjoyed on the cruise back to Polis Bay as the sun was slowly setting.
Lisa & Stuart hosted their wedding breakfast at the waterside restaurant of Ageri in the traditional fishing village of Frikes, their table set apart on the small pier where they enjoyed an intimate meal of elevated Greek cuisine. Table décor was kept simple with a garland of eucalyptus interwoven with pink and orange roses.
